Lost a Pet?

  • The Amanda Foundation (351 Foothill Rd., Beverly Hills 90210, https://www.amandafoundation.org/) serves as the City's primary shelter for animals that have been picked up by Animal Control or City staff.  The Amanda Foundation is open for animal pick-up Monday through Saturday.  It has a fully equipped veterinary clinic on the premises should medical attention for an animal be necessary.  All animals not reclaimed after a 10-day stay at the Amanda Foundation, will be transferred to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA).
  • The spcaLA South Bay Pet Adoption Center serves as the secondary shelter (12910 Yukon Ave, Hawthorne CA 90250, 310-676-1149, https://spcala.com/).  Once an animal is placed at spcaLA, it will be held for a minimum of four days, after which time it may be placed up for adoption.
  • If these two locations are unavailable, the animals will go to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control Carson/Gardena Shelter (216 W. Victoria Street, Gardena CA 90248, 310-523-9566, https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/).
  • Searching for your pet, you may also wish to check the City of West Hollywood Official App under “Lost and Found Animals” (https://www.weho.org/services/services/service-requests).  In case a community member has found your pet, they may have posted their information there.  To check, click on the link above, click on “List” and enter “Lost and Found” as keyword.  A list of Lost and Found Animal posts will be displayed.

Found a Pet?

  • If you have found a pet, please contact LA County Animal Care & Control at 310-523-9566 to turn it in.  (Please note that the Amanda Foundation, being a small facility, does not accept found pets from the general public.)
  • You may also wish to post the information on the City of West Hollywood Official App https://www.weho.org/services/services/service-requests as if it were a community bulletin board.  The information should be filed under “Animal Control” and “Lost or Found Animal.”  Please note that your post will be visible to the general public under the same category, and it will remain active for 30 days.

Thank you for using the City of West Hollywood’s website for your animal-related concerns and we wish you the best of luck in finding your pet.
