The City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission and Russian Advisory Board, and in collaboration with LarkGallery Online, is pleased to announce Find Your Roots, a culturally diverse and multigenerational art exhibition to be presented from February 12, 2014 through April 27, 2014 in a pop-up gallery space at 7362 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.

Find Your Roots, juried by Peter Frank, is an introspective look at family and cultural roots, inspiring philosophical and historical discussion rooted in personal experience. Similar to the residents of West Hollywood, the exhibition highlights artists from a multiplicity of countries, regions, faiths and ethnic backgrounds, including Russia, Japan, Ukraine, Austria, Germany, Poland, Romania, Great Britain, Armenia, Turkey, Iran, Israel, Serbia, Korea, Italy and the United States. In addition to the exhibition, LarkGallery Online will be offering workshops for both youth and adults focusing on music, poetry, history, and intergenerational and cultural art documentation.

  • The exhibit is on view during February: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays 12-4 pm (and by appointment)
  • The exhibit is on view during March and April: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays 4-8 pm (and by appointment)

Wednesday, February 12, from 6-9 pm: An artist reception with comments from juror Peter Frank will be held at 7362 Santa Monica Boulevard.  

Sunday, February 23, 1-4 pm: A Russian Art Samovar Gathering devoted to discussing the marriage of art, music and poetry (open mike) will be held at 7362 Santa Monica Boulevard.
