1.Written Request

NTMP 1 - Written Request

Express your concern by submitting a written request. Requests can be initiated by an individual or a neighborhood group. Pending the City’s workplans, funding, and priorities, some studies may be delayed. However, basic measures may be implemented.

To submit a written request, please contact Walter Davis at wdavis@weho.org

2. Data Collection and Analysis

 NTMP 2 - Data Collection & Analysis

Staff will evaluate the feasibility of requests. Solutions for basic requests can implemented within several weeks; other requests require more evaluation including the collection of data on the street segment including speed surveys, traffic volume counts, crashes, bicycle routes, pedestrian activity, and impacts on neighboring streets.

3. Community Involvement

NTMP 3 - Community Involvement

A community meeting will be held to collect general information about the neighborhood concerns. If the request moves forward, there may be follow-up meetings to discuss potential solutions. Fifty-one percent consensus is needed in order to implement some projects.

4. Commission and Council Action

NTMP 4 - Commission and Council Action

The City’s Transportation Commission and City Council will review requests for approval of traffic calming implementation.

5. Final Project Implementation

NTMP 6 - Final Project

Pending City Council approval, the project will be placed in budgets and can be implemented.
