City of West Hollywood
Home MenuHow the NTMP Process Works
1.Written Request
Express your concern by submitting a written request. Requests can be initiated by an individual or a neighborhood group. Pending the City’s workplans, funding, and priorities, some studies may be delayed. However, basic measures may be implemented. To submit a written request, please contact Walter Davis at wdavis@weho.org |
2. Data Collection and Analysis
|
Staff will evaluate the feasibility of requests. Solutions for basic requests can implemented within several weeks; other requests require more evaluation including the collection of data on the street segment including speed surveys, traffic volume counts, crashes, bicycle routes, pedestrian activity, and impacts on neighboring streets. |
3. Community Involvement
|
A community meeting will be held to collect general information about the neighborhood concerns. If the request moves forward, there may be follow-up meetings to discuss potential solutions. Fifty-one percent consensus is needed in order to implement some projects. |
4. Commission and Council Action
|
The City’s Transportation Commission and City Council will review requests for approval of traffic calming implementation. |
5. Final Project Implementation
|
Pending City Council approval, the project will be placed in budgets and can be implemented. |
