carCode Enforcement is a function of the Code Compliance Division and is responsible for investigating State and West Hollywood Municipal Code violations.

The primary goal of Code Enforcement is to gain voluntary compliance through education to ensure property and business owners understand their responsibilities to maintain their properties and preserve the quality of life in the City.

The City utilizes different enforcement measures from warning notices, administrative citations, office conferences, and legal action. The following are some frequent enforcement violations:

  • Zoning Requirements
  • Property Maintenance
  • Vacation (Short-Term) Rentals
  • Solid Waste
  • Real-Estate Signs
  • Noise
  • Illegal Construction
  • Vacant Properties
  • Construction Management

As of February 1, 2024, the Official City App or scooters@weho.org is the best way to submit scooter-related service requests.

If you have a complaint or concern outside of the Enforcement Hours, please contact the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station at (310) 855-8850.
