Welcome to the West Hollywood Transportation Management Organization (WeHo TMO)

About Us

The WeHo TMO is dedicated to making it easier for West Hollywood’s residents, employees, and visitors to travel sustainably and reduce their reliance on single-occupancy vehicles. We provide support to developers, businesses, and the public, helping everyone connect to the city’s various transportation options.

Our two main functions are:

  1. Helping Developers and Employers Comply with the City’s Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Ordinance The WeHo TMO assists developers and employers in meeting the requirements of the West Hollywood Transportation Demand Management Ordinance, which aims to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and promote sustainable transportation modes. This ordinance applies to specific commercial, mixed-use, and residential developments, as well as employers with ten or more employees.
  2. Connecting the Public with Sustainable Travel Options We connect West Hollywood residents, employees, and visitors to a variety of sustainable transportation options, making it easy to walk, bike, use public transit, or share rides within the city.

 What is the TDM Ordinance?

The West Hollywood Transportation Demand Management Ordinance requires certain developments and employers to implement strategies that encourage sustainable travel behaviors. These strategies help reduce vehicle trips, support public health, and improve air quality. Key requirements include:

  • TDM Plans for new developments and major remodels
  • Marketing strategies to promote non-auto transportation options
  • Annual surveys and reports to track progress toward reducing average vehicle ridership (AVR) and vehicle miles travelled (VMT)

For more detailed information, please refer to the full TDM Ordinance.
