Take the pitch and make your best shot in our first-ever FUN-damentals of Sports Instructional League. This slight twist to a West Hollywood Recreation staple features Tuesday evening practices and Saturday games where coaches will lead drills that teach basic dribbling, passing, receiving, trapping, and shooting essentials in a fun, positive, child-centered environment. Uniforms are included in the registration fee.

Note: The first two instructional games on September 7 and 14 will take place on Great Lawn of West Hollywood Park. The last two instructional games on September 21 and September 28 will take place in the ARC Gymnasium.

Let’s get active in after-school! In this class for younger students, we’ll review fitness-focused games, activities, and an introduction to team sports. Students will put their bodies in motion and release surplus energy to help them be more present at school and at home. They’ll learn skills that will boost their self-esteem for other sports. Along the way, they’ll practice teamwork, communication, and emotional self-regulation skills to help them everywhere, not just on the field or court. Activities include an introduction to gymnastics, running, yoga, obstacle courses, tag, baseball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and parkour! It’s sure to be a great time! Sneakers required!
