The City of West Hollywood's Arts Division oversees the following visual arts programs:
- The Art on The Outside Program is the City's temporary art program that installs rotating temporary artworks on the City's medians and parks, and includes the West Hollywood Mural Program and Moving Image Media Art Programs.
- Library Exhibitions - The City organizes and host rotating exhibits in the West Hollywood Library.
- The Urban Art Program is the City's permanent public art program that was initiated in 1987.

- Temporary Art Project Proposals - The City has an open call for Temporary Art Project Proposals which are reviewed twice a year (January and July).
- WeHo Muralist Roster - all artists who wish to paint a mural in the city must apply and qualify for the Roster.
- Moving Image Media Art Program Prequalified List (MIMA) - digital artists who wish to exhibit their work on digital billboards on Sunset Boulevard must apply and qualify for the list.
