The first electronic billboards on Sunset Boulevard were located at 8410 Sunset and 9039 Sunset (1OAK). The boards were installed in 1997 and each were operated under a development agreement that required each board to display city content or art for 14 minutes of each hour.

From 2016 - 2021, both billboards were curated by Jessica Rich, The Rich Picture.

Jessica Rich of the Rich Picture, is delighted to present a celebration and retrospective of the female artists that have participated in the public art opportunities on Sunset Boulevard in multiple locations, over the last 5 years. Thanks to WeHo Arts, artists occupy, contest, and play with the boundaries and use of public space, challenging preconceived ideas about what art is and where art belongs.
