The City of West Hollywood’s WeHo Arts program presents the 
2019 Summer Sounds FREE Outdoor Concert Series,
which will take place on Sundays at Plummer Park and King's Road Park in West Hollywood.

All concerts are FREE to attend and starts at 5 PM.
Limited first come, first serve seating will be available

The Great American Swing Band

The Great American Swing Band, a fifteen piece swing band (including a vocalist), performs the Big Band sounds. Repertoire includes Standards, Swing, Big Band, Jazz, Dixieland, Rhythm and Blues, Rock and Roll, and Contemporary Music. The Great American Swing Band has performed for Corporate Events, Black Tie Events, Fundraisers, Dances, Weddings, Concerts, Summer Music Festivals and all formal or informal events that want the excitement of a GREAT LIVE BAND.  We have performed at the most prestigious venues in and around Southern California the Flamingo Hotel Vegas, WEHO House of Blues, the Beverly Hilton, and Paramount Studios.

Actor, guitarist, singer/songwriter, producer, soulman. San Francisco native Martin Luther McCoy refuses to confine himself to any one creative pursuit. An essential catalyst on the Bay Area’s fertile 1990s neo-soul scene, he continues to serve as a conduit for socially conscious music. Martin is best known for his work with The Roots. Many others discovered him through his incendiary performance starring in Julie Taymor’s 2007 film Across the Universe. If there’s one thread connecting all of Martin's endeavors it’s his grounding in the verdant soil of African-American culture, a soul-steeped presence that leaps off of stages, screens, and bandstands alike.

Matt Politano Trio

Ask any jazz musician about pianist Matt Politano and all would jump to universally acknowledge his sheer mastery of his instrument and of jazz.  Originally a trumpeter playing in the prestigious One O’clock Lab band at the University of North Texas, Matt made the decision to switch to piano and transferred to the Manhattan School of Music. Since moving back to California he has become one of the best out here on the West Coast. This transcendental improviser explores music with such artistry and imagination while still showing a deep respect for the beauty of a melody.

Los Angeles native, Jimetta Rose has become a mainstay in the Los Angeles independent music scene while simultaneously digging firm roots into LA’s burgeoning creative renaissance. Jimetta Rose’s music is not constrained by a rigid expectation of what art is or isn’t she draws inspiration from jazz, R&B and Hip-Hop. She’s even been known to spit a verse or two when prodded. Infusing her performances with her poetry and spiritual insights Jimetta is a soothing force of divine feminine energy.  With her multi-dimensional voice and equally dynamic personality on and offstage she is destined for the top.
