2013 One City One Pride Queer Arts Festival
The City of West Hollywood celebrated Pride Month in 2013 with a festival of over 40 events featuring visual art, performance art, music, comedy, and more!

2013 Winter Sounds Concert Series 
In 2013, the City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission presented the inaugural Winter Sounds series, a concert performance series taking place throughout West Hollywood between January and March of 2013. The year’s line-up of performances was an eclectic mix of contemporary, jazz and classical music.

2013 Summer Sounds Concert Series
The City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission presented six concerts as part of its annual Summer Sounds Concert Series, with Caribbean, Jazz, Latin and Klezmer music.

Rock N' Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip exhibition
This exhibition at the West Hollywood Library celebrated the handpainted billboards of yesteryear as chronicled by Robert Landau, whose collection represents the largest collection of photographs of these iconic billboards. This exhibit coincided with the Sunset Strip Music Festival and a mini-exhibit at the Andaz West Hollywood.

Weho Reads 
In the fall of 2013, The City of West Hollywood, with The West Hollywood Library and Friends of The West Hollywood Library, presented the inaugural Weho Reads, a community-wide celebration of reading and literature. Modeled after the National Endowment for the Arts’ successful The Big Read program, Weho Reads presented two weeks of special events, panels, book discussions and a movie screening inspired by 2013's featured book, The Age of Dreaming by local author Nina Revoyr.

Liz Craft, The Temple of Folly, with LAND
The City of West Hollywood presented six outdoor sculptures by Liz Craft in West Hollywood Park in conjunction with Los Angeles Nomadic Division (LAND). Location: Westside of San Vicente Blvd., directly opposite the PDC in West Hollywood Park

On Route - 66 Lights
West Hollywood celebrated the iconic neon signs along Route 66 (Santa Monica Boulevard) and the Sunset Strip.

"Frostig At Large" 
The City of West Hollywood's Art on the Outside program presented the "Frostig at Large" sculpture exhibition located on the median of Santa Monica Blvd between Doheny and Almont Drives.

Magic Lantern Show
Photographer Anton Orlov presented over 100 original slides from the 19th and early 20th century, as well as the history of the Magic Lantern as a medium. This is a unique collection includes pictures from Russia, China, and Japan.

Free Theater In The Parks In 2013, the City supported 3 different theatrical productions in our City Parks, including the innovative 'HYPERBOLE:Bard' pictured below.

Phillipa Gregory The City collaborated with the STARZ network and Phillipa Gregory to present a sneak preview of the White Queen.

MOCA The City through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission hosted several talks in conjunction with MOCA PDC exhibitions, including The Happy Show with Stefan Sagmeister, Ben Jones, and the Tom of Finland/Bob Mizer Show. 

Wende Museum: From Red State to Golden State Film The Wende Museum with the City of West Hollywood presents a FREE screening of the Director’s Cut of a new documentary about the Soviet Jewish immigrant experience in Los Angeles. The film, directed by Mark Hayes, follows several Jewish families who left the former Soviet Union to settle in Los Angeles during the 1970s and 1980s.
