Please understand that the City of West Hollywood cannot provide support for internet speeds, device reliability, third-party platform reliability, or individual and personal technical issues.

If your video or audio device has issues while accessing our live broadcasts, please follow these troubleshooting tips to ensure you have a good streaming experience.

  • Restart and refresh everything. Turn devices off and power back on or refresh the page(s).
  • Check Your Speed. Sufficient Internet speed is necessary for reliable signal strength. Your download speed from your Internet service provider must be at least 15 Mbps for each device in your home accessing the Internet.
  • Check your streaming device’s connection speed. Run a speed test on it by following the instructions in the streaming app.
  • Try a different streaming service. WeHoTV programming is available on the City’s website at www.weho.org/wehotv, Spectrum Cable on Channel 10 in West Hollywood and multiple streaming platforms, including Android TV, Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku and YouTube.
  • Check your modem’s connection speed. Find the Ethernet cable. Unplug it from the router, then plug it into a computer. Restart the modem then Google “speed test.” Results should be a minimum of 15 Mbps. If speeds are slower, contact your Internet provider.
  • Check your Wi-Fi router’s connection speed. Run a speed test on a phone/tablet/computer within a few feet of streaming device. Results should be at least 15 Mbps.
  • Check your computer’s Central Processing Unit (CPU) speed. A good CPU is critical to maintaining a steady stream. For example, 2-4 GB of RAM and a 1.3 GHz processor should be sufficient for streaming.
  • Consider a new streaming device. Once you’ve ruled out problems with your individual streaming services, your internet speeds, and connection strength, if you still experience problems, it may be time want to upgrade to a newer streaming device.
