The City of West Hollywood does not charge utility taxes.
LADWP Sewer Rate Increase
Although two-thirds of West Hollywood residents receive water from the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the City of West Hollywood provides its own sewage and sanitation services. The sewer and solid waste/recycling service fees are direct benefit assessments that are included as part of the property tax bill.
Los Angeles Department of Water and Power sewage fee increases do not apply to West Hollywood Residents. For more clarification, contact the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power at (800) 540-0952 or visit LADWP.
Telephone Service Utility Tax
The City of West Hollywood does not have a telephone service utility tax. Residents and business owners are urged to check the charges on their telephone bill. Please contact the City Clerk at (323) 848-6400 if your phone company requires a letter from the City attesting that the City has no telephone service utility tax requirements.
