The Revenue Management Division performs fair and cost effective revenue collection services for taxes, fees and grant revenue, through the enforcement of local laws and regulations.
Major Goals and Objectives
- Administer business tax ordinance for ease of compliance.
- Monitor receipt of all revenue sources with audits to be conducted of sales tax revenues and of hotels for transient occupancy tax compliance.
- Provide timely reports and analysis of all revenues, identifying new sources of revenue and threats to existing revenue base.
- Assist all departments in the administration of decentralized receivables with an emphasis on parking issues and exaction fees.

Business Tax
How to obtain a business tax certificate or renew an existing business tax certificate. Initial business tax applications should be filed within 30 days of the start of business operations.

FY25 Fee Schedule
The Fee Resolution 24-044: was approved by Council on May 20, 2024. The Fees take effect on July 1, 2024, or 60 days following the adoption of this Resolution for development project fees subject to Government Code section 66017 that “apply to the filing, acceptance, review, approval or issuance of an application, permit, or entitlement to use”.
