The InfoMap is an online interactive map that makes it easier for you to find information about open projects and permits that are happening in your neighborhood and across the City. You can search for specific projects or permits or view projects and permits based on customizable criteria. Although the map’s default view is set to only show Development Projects and Building Permits applied for in the last year, you can adjust the filter to see more projects and permits types or change the applied date filter. Take a moment to view this short Instructional Guide to learn about the new InfoMap platform's functionality and the search/filter capabilities of the new site.

The map can display almost all open projects and permits currently being processed by the Planing and Development Services Department. A planning project is a legal right conveyed by approval (through a planning entitlement or permit) from the City of West Hollywood to develop a property for a certain use, intensity, building type or building placement. Open projects include Planning projects that are under review and Planning projects that have been approved but have not expired. A building permit is an official certificate issued by the Building and Safety Division that gives permission to construct, enlarge or alter a building.  Permits are also issued for installation and alteration of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems associated with a building. Open permits include Building & Safety permits that are under review and Building & Safety permits that have been issued but not yet finalized. This can include minor projects, such as a facade remodel, as well as much larger development projects or building permits for new commercial or residential construction. Additional information regarding the City of West Hollywood’s project and permitting processes can be found in the City’s Municipal Code under title 19 Zoning Ordinance and title 19.4 Land Use and Development Permit Procedures.

If you notice that a project or permit is missing, please let us know by calling the Planning Help Desk at (323) 848-6475 or emailing us at InfoMap@weho.org.
