The City of West Hollywood is a co-sponsor of an event for Black Pride 2021. The event, “Live Out Loud Black Pride Edition Kick-Off Party,” produced by Ivan Daniel, will include a red carpet, fashion show, trap hip hop 90s by DJ Ben, “I Am Legend” Awards recognizing actress and humanitarian Keke Palmer, live performances, and more throughout the night, and is in addition to official LA Black Pride events produced by Brandon Anthony:
- Thursday, July 1, 2021, 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., Rocco’s WeHo, located at 8900 Santa Monica Boulevard.
“The City of West Hollywood is proud to support our Black LGBTQ+ family and community members as well as the celebration taking place at Rocco’s WeHo as part of Black Pride 2021,” said City of West Hollywood Mayor Lindsey P. Horvath. “This year’s Black Pride events and experiences are rooted in the ethos of Celebrating the Past, While Building the Future and we’re thrilled that Black Pride is coming out stronger than ever!”
In addition to the West Hollywood event, LA Black Pride will take place from Thursday, July 1, 2021 to Monday, July 5, 2021 with various events throughout the Los Angeles region, produced by Brandon Anthony, including:
- Thursday, July 1, 2021, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. – LA Black Pride Weekend “Kick Off Celebration” at Redline DTLA, located at 161 E. 6th Street, Los Angeles;
- Friday, July 2, 2021, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. – The Return of “CLSQ” Location: Chapel at The Abbey, located at 696 N. Robertson Boulevard, West Hollywood;
- Saturday, July 3, 2021, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. – “ONE” Mega Party: The Return of Catch One Location: Catch One, located at 4067 W. Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles;
- Sunday, July 4, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. – The Grand Opening of “ERA” Location: Rocco’s WeHo, located at 8900 Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood; and
- Monday, July 5, 2021, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. – LABP Day Party, The Parlor, located at 7250 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles.
