Construction Update for the West Hollywood Park Phase II

El Tovar Place and Parking Lot Demolition -  The sound of jack hammering at El Tovar Place will be ongoing for several weeks while buried concrete footings and slabs are being removed in preparation for the Aquatic/Recreation Building’s foundations.  Here are some photos of what was found underground.

Library Plinth Parking Closure Update – Parking in the library parking garage will be closed on March 27th and will reopen in late Summer. 

North San Vicente Metered Parking – The small parking lot on the north side of the park is permanently closed.  Improvements are beginning in the areas to the east and west side of the existing basketball courts for the new dog parks that will be open at the end of 2017.

San Vicente Boulevard Closure Update – San Vicente Boulevard, between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue will be closed on March 17th from 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Demolition and Utility Work – Demolition of existing concrete slabs, asphalt and concrete paving and utility trenching will be ongoing in designated fenced construction zones every Monday through Friday from  8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. 

Parking Options - The five story parking structure is open with one-hour free parking before 6:00 p.m.  Access to the parking structure is on the east side of San Vicente Boulevard. Daytime valet parking is available at $5 for two hours from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.,  Monday – Sunday.  For additional rates see posted information at valet station.  In the near future, the City of West Hollywood will be opening up a surface parking lot on Robertson Boulevard.  More information to follow in the near future.
