The City of West Hollywood, Cedars Sinai-Medical Center and the National Council of Jewish Women/L.A. will present an informative Breast Cancer Educational Forum on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from noon to 2 p.m. at the National Council of Jewish Women, 543 N. Fairfax Avenue. The event is free.

The panel participants will include West Hollywood Councilmember Abbe Land as moderator; Dr. Farin Amersi, Attending Breast Surgeon, Assoc. Director of General Surgery Residency Program and Co-Director of Breast Multidisciplinary Group; Lisa Cassileth, MD, Breast Reconstructive Surgeon; Joyce Brandman, Board of Governors and a breast cancer survivor; Barbara Cowen, LCSW; Dr. Dorothy Park, Hematologist/Oncologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center/Tower Hematology Oncology Group; and Hillary Selvin, Executive Director of the National Council of Jewish Women and a breast cancer survivor. Refreshments will be provided, but those attending are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.
