The City of West Hollywood, through its Recreation Services Division, is launching the autumn 2014 session of its West Hollywood Youth Triathlon Program for youth athletes, ages 9 to 17, to receive high-quality training and education in preparation for a triathlon event.
Registration for the autumn 2014 West Hollywood Youth Triathlon Program is now open. Participants may register in-person at West Hollywood Pool, located at 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard, anytime during pool hours.
The session will begin on Monday, September 22, 2014 and it will run for eight weeks though Monday, November 17, 2014. Training meetings will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at West Hollywood Park and West Hollywood Pool. The total cost for the eight-week session is $150 per person.
Participation in the West Hollywood Triathlon Program provides youth athletes with a membership to the newly formed Pacific Triathlon (PacTri) League. The Pacific Triathlon League gives West Hollywood Youth Triathlon Program participants the opportunity to take part in a range of benefits, including: a UCLA athlete-mentor program; discounts to triathlon events, stores, and coaching sessions; training and nutrition consultation; participation in PacTri bike rides and ocean swims; and more. It will also help prepare youth athletes for the UCLA IronBruin triathlon on Saturday, November 8, 2014 and the HITS Championship in Palm Springs on Sunday, December 7, 2014.
