It’ll be all fun and games in the summer sun as children ages 6 through 14 years old compete for medals in the City of West Hollywood’s 16th Annual Sal’s Summer Games from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at West Hollywood Park, 647 N. San Vicente Boulevard. The opening ceremony will take place in the picnic area at West Hollywood Park. Following the opening ceremony, children will compete in Olympic-themed events including the long jump, 50-yard dash, softball throw, soccer shoot-out, basketball shoot-out and obstacle course. The Summer Games will be followed by an awards ceremony where all participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and first through third place winners will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
