City to Celebrate 65th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day

The City of West Hollywood’s Russian Advisory Board and the Russian-speaking Veterans of WWII will co-sponsor a celebration of the 65th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day on Saturday, May 8, 2010 starting at 11 a.m. at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard. A ceremony will be held to honor West Hollywood and Greater Los Angeles area residents and citizens who are veterans who fought during WWII against nazis and have contributed significantly to the City of West Hollywood, socially, culturally and civically. The ceremony will also pay tribute to individuals who lost their lives during the war. The ceremony includes live entertainment. The event is free and open to the public.
