The National Council of Jewish Women/LA will host a free screening of the groundbreaking investigative documentary The Invisible War, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the National Council of Jewish Women Los Angeles Council House, 543 N. Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles. This event is co-sponsored by the West Hollywood Women’s Advisory Board.
The Invisible War, which won the Audience Award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, was directed by Oscar®- and Emmy®-nominated filmmaker Kirby Dick (This Film Is Not Yet Rated and Twist of Faith). It exposes one of America’s most shameful and best-kept secrets: the epidemic of rape within the U.S. military. The film’s producer, Amy Ziering, will be on hand to answer questions after the screening.
