Winner of eight Academy Awards, Cabaret is a musical and drama about Sally Bowles, an American cabaret singer in 1930s Berlin, who becomes involved in the rise of the Nazi party. It is directed by Bob Fosse and stars Liza Minelli and Joel Gray. The film is based on the 1951 Tony Award-winning musical, I Am a Camera by John Van Druten and Christopher Isherwood's 1939 novel, Goodbye to Berlin.
