The City of West Hollywood, the nation’s first pro-choice city, will commemorate the 43rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States, with a “pink out” day in support of Planned Parenthood.
The event will be held in conjunction with the West Hollywood City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the City of West Hollywood’s City Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room and Auto Court at West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard.
The program will feature guest speakers, presentations, and a reception. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink and participate in actions on social media in support of reproductive rights. Admission is free, and free validated parking will be available in the adjacent five-story public parking structure.
