Presented by MOCA with the support of the City of West Hollywood through WeHo Arts. In conjunction with her solo exhibition at MOCA PDC, Catherine Opie engages in discussion with MOCA Chief Curator Helen Molesworth. They will examine the concepts of portraiture, gender, and celebrity at play in Opie’s series of photographs of the interior of Elizabeth Taylor’s Bel Air home, and the ways in which this recent body of work both extends and departs from Opie’s other work.
