Join the West Hollywood City Council and the West Hollywood Women's Advisory Board for an empowering and inspirational event commemorating the 95th anniversary of the certification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which granted women the right to vote in the United States. The celebration will feature special guest speakers Gloria Allred, civil rights attorney and women’s rights advocate and Lisa Bloom, civil rights attorney and NBC News Legal Analyst. The event will also include video shorts and displays highlighting the accomplishments of the women’s rights movement from the 1960s to present day, an interactive photo booth and a “call to action” reception. Co-sponsoring organizations include the Feminist Majority, Ms. Magazine, National Women’s History Museum, the California Women’s Law Center, the National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles, the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives, the Hollywood Chapter of the National Organization for Women and the West Hollywood Women’s Leadership Conference. The event is FREE and OPEN to the public!
