The City of West Hollywood has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to establish a pool of artists and artist teams for the upcoming temporary land art exhibition Can You Dig It?. The exhibition is part of Art on the Outside, the City’s ongoing public art program that installs rotating temporary artworks on West Hollywood’s medians and parks. Can You Dig It? is specifically intended to address the current California drought, and how the City may reimagine its environments and landscapes in response. This informational question and answer meeting is not mandatory. Artists who have never applied to a public art opportunity are encouraged to attend. To RSVP, contact Rebecca Ehemann, Public Art Coordinator at (323) 848-6846 or rehemann@weho.org, with the names of the artist(s) who wish to attend.
