Part of One City One Pride. OUT THERE is a one-week juried art exhibition celebrating West Hollywood's 30 year commitment to LGBT communities at Los Angeles Art Association's (LAAA) prestigious Gallery 825. By exhibiting artworks commemorating the LGBT community during Gay Pride Month, LAAA hopes to provide local artists and the larger West Hollywood community with greater access and understanding of the current contemporary art world. This exhibition will acknowledge the special opportunities that West Hollywood has provided for creative individuals over the past 30 years. The 8th annual OUT THERE exhibition will feature the most exciting emerging artists while celebrating Gay Pride Month. OUT THERE also implicitly acknowledges the creative, accepting and respectful culture of West Hollywood, thereby further breaking down social barriers of discomfort and fear that have often kept some artists marginalized in the larger commercial art world. Admission is free. Valet parking available at opening reception; Lot parking available during normal business hours. For more information, visit www.weho.org/pride
