At the West Hollywood Harvey Milk Day of Service hosted by the West Hollywood Gateway,  local volunteers will be handing out shopping lists to patrons between 10 and 4pm in support of a food and clothing drive to benefit SOVA Community Food and Resource Program and the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Youth Center on Highland.  The public can assist by dropping off donations and or shopping for donations that day between 10 am and 4pm.  There will be a curbside drop off available. Volunteers will also host a letter writing table for the public to write thank you letters and cards to active duty service members and veterans to support Operation Gratitude. (Operation Gratitude annually sends 150,000+ care packages with plus personal letters of appreciation, to New Recruits, Veterans, First Responders, Wounded Warriors, Care Givers and to individually named U.S. Service Members deployed overseas.)  For more info: 323-848-6885 or wehovcorps@gmail.com.
