In anticipation of the City of West Hollywood’s upcoming Special Municipal Election in June, there will be a City Council Candidate forum on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the City’s Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room, located at 625 North San Vicente Boulevard. The forum will be facilitated by the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles Education Fund, a non-partisan independent organization, to assure that candidates are treated in a fair, inclusive, and impartial manner.
WeHoTV, which provides access to coverage of City government meetings, issues, and informational programming, will host live coverage of the City Council Candidate forum on the City’s WeHoTV channels and on its YouTube channel. WeHoTV programs are available to Time Warner Cable customers within the City of West Hollywood on channel 10. AT&T U-verse customers across Southern California can access WeHoTV on channel 99. Live YouTube streaming will be accessible at www.youtube.com/wehotv. The forum will also be accessible for on-demand replay at the same YouTube channel, as well as on the City’s website at www.weho.org/wehotv.
The City of West Hollywood’s Special Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 to fill one Councilmember seat. The deadline for residents to register to vote is Monday, May 18, 2015. The Vote-by-Mail application period continues until Tuesday, May 26, 2015. There is a link for voter registration and for Vote-by-Mail applications on the City’s website at www.weho.org/elections.
