Starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell, Howard Hawks’ masterpiece screwball comedy His Girl Friday will be the first classic film to be featured in a new afternoon film series, on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Launched by Friends of the West Hollywood Library, the screenings will be held in the West Hollywood Library Community Room, where free lemonade and popcorn will be served. The new matinee series will feature a different classic movie on the first Thursday of each month.  Victor/Victoria, starring Julie Andrews, Robert Preston and James Garner will be showing on June 4, in celebration of One City One Pride Month. For additional information about the film series call 310-652-5340.
