On Thursday, April 30, 2015, the working group of the Los Angeles County Civilian Oversight Commission for the Sheriff Department will host a Town Hall Meeting from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard. Representatives from the County and from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will be on-hand to discuss the proposed Civilian Oversight Commission for the Sheriff Department.
The mission of the Civilian Oversight Commission is to improve public transparency and accountability with respect to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department by providing robust opportunities for community engagement and ongoing analysis and oversight of the Department’s policies, practices, and procedures.
