100 Walkers, West Hollywood

The City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission as part of WeHo@30, presents “100 Walkers, West Hollywood,” a large scale performance piece created by artist Richard Kraft in which one hundred people, each dressed in a dark suit and bowler hat and wearing a sandwich board (with a unique image on both front and back) will walk pre-determined routes through the city. The piece will begin with all one hundred walkers forming a grid in the El Tovar parking lot next to West Hollywood Park. Slowly the walkers will disperse, fanning out in all directions, traversing the entire city of West Hollywood. During the piece performers remain silent. Interaction with inquisitive passers by is confined to the handing out of a business card or flyer. For more information, visit www.weho.org/arts. Please follow us on social media and use the hashtag #100walkersweho to document the project.

Reception: 1 – 3 p.m.
Performance: 2 p.m. (approximately) – 5:30 p.m.
