The Calendar features a comprehensive schedule of City of West Hollywood meetings and City-sponsored events. In order to ensure accuracy, only listings for the current month appear on the Calendar. When Bette Met Mae Film Screening

The City of West Hollywood is co-sponsoring a community screening of When Bette Met Mae, directed and produced by local businessperson Wes Wheadon.  When Bette Met Mae is about iconic film actresses Bette Davis and Mae West meeting for the first time in 1973 at a small cocktail and dinner part in West Hollywood, California.  The evening’s conversation was recorded by the bartender on a small cassette recorder as a memento of the evening.  The film highlights their discussion of their lives, loves, careers, people who impersonated them, how they got famous and wealthy and their views on success and the film industry.  Presented in as part of the City’s celebration of National Women’s History Month.
