The Find Your Roots exhibition will wrap-up in April with a series of events and Artist Open Houses. The exhibition, which opened in February, is based at a pop-up gallery space at 7362 Santa Monica Boulevard on the second floor. The exhibition is free and open to the public; it will be on display until Sunday, April 27, 2014. Find Your Roots is representative of the many diverse backgrounds of West Hollywood’s own residents, and it highlights artists from many faiths and ethnic backgrounds, as well as many regions and countries.
Four artists will host Artist Open Houses throughout April — on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Artist Gregory Hicks will participate; on Sunday, April 13, 2014, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Artist Erna Avan will participate; on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Artist Hal Yaskulka will participate; and on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Artist Vered Galor will participate.
Find Your Roots is presented by the City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission in collaboration with LarkGallery Online. The exhibition is presented as part of WeHo East Arts, which was developed by the City’s Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission to explore the convergence of culture, community, and development on the City’s east side.
