“National Night Out” is the one night each year when more than 30 million people in neighborhoods across the country unite to celebrate their successes in crime prevention and send a message to criminals that crime will not be tolerated in their area. Several Neighborhood Watch groups, in coordination with the City’s Public Safety and Recreation Services Divisions, will hold events including block parties, barbecues, potlucks and other social gatherings in neighborhoods throughout the City of West Hollywood. Participants in the City’s community wide celebration will include members of the West Hollywood City Council; the West Hollywood Public Safety Commission; the West Hollywood Russian Advisory Board; Sheriff’s deputies; and firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Fire engines and Sheriff’s vehicles will be featured at a number of events. Admission is free.
