Presented as part of the One City One Pride Queer Arts Festival. Held for the first time last year, Install: WeHo returns with an exploration of what it means to be a ‘Good Queer’. In this one day exploration of visual and performance art, queer artists create installations in shipping pods/U-Hauls that appear overnight in the El Tovar Parking lot, forming a one-day temporary pop-up queer arts village, complete with a performance stage curated by Apt 3F on a flatbed truck. Featured Artists: Brian Getnick; Julie Tolentino; Suzanne Wright; Apt 3F (Andrew Henkes and David LeBarron); Patrisse Cullors; Onya Hogan-Finlay and Kim Kelly; Thinh Nguyen; Amy Von Harrington; Sarah Barnard; Jason Jenn (The Lavender Effect); Shelia Malone & Gwynn Shanks; Beloved Spritis (Jas Wade & Three Breazell); REACH LA; and Liz Toonkel. This production is partially funded by the City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission and by recommendation of the Gay and Lesbian Advisory Board. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10. Validated parking available in the 5-story West Hollywood Park Library Parking Garage.
