Before the internet, young gay men looking for answers would often read in secret, or pilfer books and magazines out of shame. Presented as a preview of the One City One Pride queer arts festival, this special event explores this year’s festival theme in the Sacred and the Profane. Gay men will read from texts that were stolen or forbidden in their youth, including readers Clint Catalyst, Jonny McGovern, Del Shores, and Bruce Villanch.
