Join the City of West Hollywood at its next meeting of the West Hollywood Gay Men’s Discussion Group. The West Hollywood Gay Men’s Discussion Group meets the third Thursday of every month for a series of lightly moderated discussions open to the public to encourage attendees to discuss their own experiences about issues of importance to the Gay community. The TRIBE discussion group will provide an open space for building relationships, promoting dialog, identifying challenges, and creating solutions for issues currently facing Gay men. In this month’s program, the topic is “‘The Cruise Director: Gay Events in WeHo.” If you were the cruise director for the Cruise Ship WeHo, what events would you program for gay men? Now imagine all of WeHo’s parks and open spaces are yours to schedule activities for, what are you going to put there? In this discussion we will explore what’s possible in WeHo’s open spaces between Gay Pride and Halloween. Discussion topics include: what’s missing from WeHo gay programming; why do gay men need programming specific to us; how do we promote WeHo as a gay mecca. Admission is free. Validated parking will be available in the 5-story West Hollywood Park/Library Parking Garage.
