Join the City of West Hollywood at its next meeting of the West Hollywood Lesbians’ Discussion Group. The West Hollywood Lesbians’ Discussion Group will encourage attendees to discuss their own experiences about issues of importance to the Lesbian community. The SHE discussion group will provide an open space for building relationships, promoting dialog, and creating solutions for issues currently facing Lesbians. In this month’s program, the topic is “Lesbian Culture Now.” We will explore what it means to be a Lesbian in 2012 and will have the opportunity to learn more about the lesbian cultural identities that empower our sisterhood, why we hold those identities so dear, and how we can create new role models for the generations coming up. Discussion topics include: what is lesbian culture; Butch vs. Fem; WeHo meeting places; diversity in our community; cultural expressions and cultural diversity; owning our culture and shaping our own destiny.
