Please join us for an exciting evening of short works ranging from the personal and highly expressive to the surreal and quiet. Filmmaker, activist, and professor Jonathan Pope Evans will be in attendance to deliver a short introduction to this highly charged and eclectic collection of short films from the festival circuit, including a short introduction to queer history and the new queer cinema movement that began in the early 1990's. Films included in the program are Evans’ Sepulte “The Buried”; Rachel Goldberg's award winning short “Neighbors” starring Edi Gathegi and Kelly Garner; Rhys Ernst's Sundance and Outfest favorite “The Thing”; and “Breach of Etiquette” by Mark Levine. Filmmakers in attendance will provide a Q&A after the event. Admission is free. Seating is on a first come/first serve basis. For more information, please call Mike Che at (323) 848-6377.
