Join the City of West Hollywood at its next meeting of the West Hollywood Lesbians’ Discussion Group. The West Hollywood Lesbians’ Discussion Group will encourage attendees to discuss their own experiences about issues of importance to the Lesbian community. The SHE discussion group will provide an open space for building relationships, promoting dialog, and creating solutions for issues currently facing Lesbians. In this month’s program, the topic is “Power to the People.” Taking it to the streets is not just about showing up for the Pride Parade! Political and community action are the reasons lesbians have won their rights. We will discuss why it’s so important to be involved and where best to put your energies. Discussion topics include: the necessities of political action, how to volunteer, opportunities for activism in West Hollywood, and grassroots movements. Admission is free.
