Los Angeles, and specifically the Greenway Court Theatre, once again becomes the epicenter of the national spoken word universe when it plays host to inkSlam: L.A.’s Premier Poetry Festival. inkSlam evolved from the partnership between the Greenway Arts Alliance and Da’ Poetry Lounge, the nation’s largest ongoing open mic series held every Tuesday evening at Greenway Court Theatre. Greenway Arts Alliance has created a world-class model for non-profit arts in Los Angeles, and is one of the most prolific theatres in the city. Now in its 14th year, Da’ Poetry Lounge is a standing room only event that has entertained more than 200,000 audience members. Through this partnership, inkSlam has quickly developed into the largest spoken word festival on the West Coast. Tickets $5 - $20. Free parking available.
