The City of West Hollywood through its Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission presents Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bête) Jean Cocteau’s 1946 sublime adaptation of Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont’s fairy-tale masterpiece in which the pure love of a beautiful girl melts the heart of a feral but gentle beast. A landmark of motion picture fantasy, the film features unforgettable performances by Jean Marais and Josette Day. The film is in French with English subtitles. Admission is free.
