Admission to the museum will be available for a discounted group rate of $7 per person. “Women Hold Up Half the Sky” is a multi-media exhibit inspired by the critically acclaimed book “Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide,” by Nicholas D. Kristof and Shryl WuDunn. The exhibit features groundbreaking experiences with documentary photographs, visual art, sound installations and interactive opportunities for visitors to get involved in changing the injustices women face worldwide. It’s both an educational and empowering opportunity for women and men to better understand the injustices occurring upon women and to learn how to take part in local activism to prevent further atrocities. Please RSVP by Thursday, May 3rd for transportation to the museum or for more information by calling (323) 848-6460 or email cplanck@weho.org TTY for the deaf and hard of hearing at (323) 848-6496.
