In How to Die in Oregon, filmmaker Peter Richardson enters the lives of the terminally ill as they consider whether - and when - to end their lives by lethal overdose. Richardson examines both sides of this complex, emotionally charged issue. What emerges is a life affirming, staggeringly powerful portrait of what it means to die with dignity. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with legendary advice columnist "Dear Abby," and with Bishop Gene Robinson, widely known for being the first priest in an openly gay relationship to be consecrated a bishop in a major Christian denomination believing in the historic episcopate and has become an advocate for the "death with dignity" movement. Admission is free. Reception following the film. For more information call (323) 848-6460 or visit https://howtodieinoregon.eventbrite.com
