The City of West Hollywood will hold an Arbor Day 2010 Community Tree Planting on Saturday, April 24, 2010 starting at 9 a.m. along the north east corner of Clinton Street at Croft Avenue, where twelve Tristania trees will be planted. Participants of the Community Tree Planting do not need to have any prior planting experience. On-site training and supervision will be provided. The Community Tree Planting will start off with a short “how to” planting session and a discussion about the importance and value that trees play in our urban environment. In the past, tree planting efforts have left a positive legacy in West Hollywood and newly-planted trees provide many neighborhoods with new urban green spaces where none previously existed.
