Metro is studying underground rail options through West Hollywood, Mid City, and Hollywood. They released a Draft Environmental Impact Report for the K Line Northern Extension on July 23 and are now accepting public comments until September 5th. Metro is holding three public hearings to solicit public input:
- Saturday, August 10, 10am to noon at Susan Miller Dorsey Senior High School, 3537 Farmdale Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90016
- Tuesday, August 13, 6pm to 8pm at Pan Pacific Park Recreation Center, 7600 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036
- Thursday, August 15, noon to 1:30pm on Zoom (virtual meeting) https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87336933668, call in: (213)-338-8477
All Metro meetings are accessible to persons with disabilities. Spanish translation will be provided. Russian translation available at the Pan Pacific Park and Virtual meetings only.
What is K Line North?
K Line North will extend the existing Metro K Line light rail service with new connections to the Metro D (Purple) and B (Red) Lines and new stations in iconic neighborhoods. Metro is studying three potential routes and will make a final decision later this year.
What is the City’s Preferred Route?
The City of West Hollywood supports the San Vicente-Fairfax route because it would serve six times more residents and three times more jobs than the La Brea route and provide access to healthcare, cultural resources, major employment centers, recreation, entertainment, and key destinations across WeHo and Central LA that the other routes would bypass.
How Can I Help?
We need your help to make sure this once-in-a-lifetime investment doesn’t skip over key destinations, job centers, and neighborhoods.
Let Metro know you support the San Vicente-Fairfax route and share questions or comments before it’s too late! Details at weho.org/metro
