All life begins and ends with water. A precious resource, water is vital for a healthy and vibrant planet. Clean fresh water is not only essential for drinking and sanitation and providing for our crops, livestock, and industry, but it also it is basis for creating and sustaining the ecosystems on which all humanity depends on.

This Symposium will explore the fundamental role that water plays in supporting urbanized settings and looks at some of the key challenges that lie ahead with respect to future sustainability, climate change, ecological, and resilience goals are pursued.
