MashUp International Women's Day Dance Festival

As International Women’s Day approaches on March 8th, MashUp Contemporary Dance Company is proud to announce the return of its highly anticipated International Women’s Day Dance Festival! Dedicated to honoring women’s contributions to dance and cultural sectors, while simultaneously advocating for a more inclusive future, the festival stands out for its consistent commitment to progress. 

Now in its 8th year, the festival provides opportunities for female-identifying choreographers to present their work and connects young artists with seasoned artistic leaders. Aiming to inspire dialogue and action towards greater gender equality, the 2024 Festival will feature performances, classes, and networking opportunities at multiple venues throughout LA and West Hollywood. Full Day Summit Pass $65, Mentorship Breakfast $45, Individual Classes $20, Scholarships Available.

MashUp's leadership believes in the power of dance to drive social change and inspire progress. By bringing together talented choreographers, artists, and advocates, MashUp is honored to hold space for meaningful dialogue and foster tangible steps towards a more equitable future for all.

9am-10am — Breakfast with Keynote Speaker and Industry Expo
10:15am-11:45am — Industry Expo + Mentor sessions with Monika Smith, Mackenzie Martin, Julie McDonald, Marissa Osato, and Emily Wanserski 
12pm-12:55pm — Movement Class with Stephanie Heckert 
1pm-1:55pm — Movement Class with Monika Smith

This year's program is filled with diverse, dynamic work that showcases the stories, ideas, and unlimited creativity of a multitude of awe-inspiring artists from various backgrounds.
