Event co-sponsored by the Russian speaking Advisory Board.  This year Helix Collective Ensemble will present a musical program dedicated to the Victory in Europe Day.  Join us in commemorating the world heroes from WWII era!

Helix Collective with special guest vocalist Alison Lewis will present popular hits of the WWII era including songs that motivated the allies to victory. The program will take the audience on a journey to enjoy music well known and recognizable by community members.

2024 is the 79th anniversary of the Victory in Europe over the Nazi regime. The Russian-speaking Advisory Board supports and continues the celebration of parents’, grandparents’, and great grandparents’ role in the war and re-confirmation of their status as family heroes no matter their military or civil defense rank, or whether they survived. Commemoration of the WWII Veterans has an educational impact on the community and younger generation.   Victory in Europe Day marks the defeat of the Nazi forces and remembers the estimated 50 million people who died during World War II.  The Russian-speaking Advisory Board is also inviting members of the community to join the WWII Veterans, their family members and friends at the WWII Veterans Memorial in Plummer park to lay flowers and wreaths, share stories and remember those who fought on the fronts of WWII.
